Like their thoroughbred racing counterparts a day earlier, representatives of greyhound racing interests huddled up Tuesday to brainstorm ways to revive their besieged industry.

Under siege from both humane groups such as Grey2K USA and from the Legislature, which this session passed a bill, later vetoed, to eliminate the $15 million a year state subsidy for racing purses, the greyhound racing representatives Tuesday discussed options to appeal to younger adults.
