The Kanawha County Commission will have its first fall cleanup for the year Saturday in Sissonville. The cleanup will be from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the intersection of Casdorph Road and Sissonville Drive.

Items accepted include: accumulated solid waste, large appliances, air conditioners, tires (up to 10 with a West Virginia ID), and televisions.

Recyclables, including computers, all metals, car batteries, and electronics, are also accepted.

Items NOT accepted include gas/propane tanks, hazardous waste, paint, chemicals, and motor oil.

Future cleanup events are scheduled for Oct. 2 in South Charleston, Elkview/Clendenin Oct. 16, and Cabin Creek Oct. 30.
