JOHN MARVIN BUCKLEY JR. 63, of Cedar Grove passed away September 11, 2021 at home.
He was a retired coal miner, an avid West Virginia University, Pittsburg Steelers and Nascar fan. John enjoyed spending time with his family and attending his grandchildren's sporting events.
Preceding him in death were his father, John Marvin Buckley Sr.; step-father, Lyle Collins Sr.; sister, Nita Jo Buckley; grandson, John William Buckley II; aunts, Hannah Starcher, Nora Helm; uncle, Martin Taylor; and grandparents.
Surviving are his son, John Buckley (Terri) of Charleston; daughter, Gabrielle Buckley (Wes) of Charleston; mother, Rose Collins Buckley of Cedar Grove; brothers, Marty Buckley of Cedar Grove, Lyle Collins Jr. (Nita) of Myrtle Beach; sister, Tammy Chapman of Teays Valley; mother of John's children, Billie Buckley of Charleston; grandchildren, Christian and Breanna Buckley, Destinee and Austin Kirk, Braxton and Braydon Toppings, Maia Cogar; and seven great grandchildren.
A gathering of his family and friends will be held from 12 to 1:30 p.m., Friday, September 17, 2021 at Fidler and Frame Funeral Home, Belle.
In keeping with John's final requests, his cremation wishes will be honored following the visitation.
