There was low turnout for the meeting about charter schools in Morgantown, as reported in the Charleston Gazette-Mail on Tuesday.

Maybe people felt that those who make the decisions have made up their minds and there’s no point. There could be another reason. The hearing was held on a Friday night, which is unusual. It wasn’t just any Friday night, it was the night of Morgantown High’s homecoming football game, and West Virginia University’s homecoming parade, the night before their big game.

Maybe, the time for the hearing was set to make sure people wouldn’t show up.
