Readers' Vent: Aug. 19, 2019

It’s a shame that all major networks feel it necessary to broadcast Trump’s daily hatred, racism and lies. People can watch Fox if they are interested in his daily spewing of tweets and other un-American ranting and actions.

Russia is very successful in fostering division in the two most powerful western democracies, the U.S. and Great Britain. I’d say Russia is winning and will be more emboldened in pressing its Ukrainian land thefts, election interference in the U.S., Great Britain and throughout Europe, extending influence in Syria, Venezuela, Turkey, Iran and Cuba and is finding U.S. politicians willing to sell influence for local Russian investment. Who’s supposed to be in charge of this mess?

Why is ICE actively destroying small businesses in our state, along with people’s lives? The agency needs to be completely defunded and disbanded.

The problem with the Readers’ Vent system is it invites ‘unusual people’ to say stupid stuff. Today’s first Vent covers a ban on semi-auto weapons and the Bible. I would really like to know and hope this individual does not live near me. Again, I’m all in for free speech — I just want to know who says it!

Sounds to me like the same people always complaining about coal companies stealing the coal from our mountains are the first people to cry when programs and services are stopped because coal severance taxes dry up.

If you think late night talk show hosts are comedians and their jokes about President Trump are based on fact, you are big part of this country’s problem. You think you’re well informed, but you know nothing and too lazy to research the truth. Just stick to your zombie and dragon fantasies and leave the intelligent thought to the adults.
