It is great to see that our United States military weapons are being showcased in DC on July 4th. The best president since President Reagan.

Simply making West Side streets two-way will not entice people to go there. Until the West Side is cleaned up, if that’s even possible, no business will locate there. Changing traffic patterns is a horrible idea. It will not bring more people. Just like with the Boulevard fiasco, the goal should be to get working people in and out of the city at rush hour.

Who do you have to know to get an abandoned house torn down? I have been calling county commission for several years. Recently was told it’s on the top of the list but would be at least another year or more. Can’t get any other help since it is out of the city limits. It is a health hazard with snakes and rats. Any suggestions?

Just saw Gov. Justice on the news saying the state has a surplus. Someone please ask him for me where is my tax refund which was electronically filed by professional tax preparer. Called and was told it has not been processed yet!

I would hope that no attempt is made to hide General Jackson’s statue away. Like it or not, he is one of the best known West Virginians along with Anse Hatfield, John Henry, etc. he lived in a very different time and culture and it is unfair to judge some things he did and said by today’s standards. Leave a West Virginia hero alone.

Jim Justice said, “Fix the damn roads.” He should be on TV daily with updates on the progress of paving roads and what the taxpayer is getting for paying higher gas taxes. I just drove through Tennessee and Kentucky with beautiful new pavement and low gas prices.

Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev took off his shoe, pounded the podium at the UN, and declared that they would defeat us from within. We all laughed. But now I look around at these left-wing liberals and their antifa wing and see that he was right. We are in the fight of our lives for our very existence.
