I think it’s great that Greenbrier Street is getting a fresh coat of blacktop. To prevent it from washing out, can we get the state to clean out the ditches and pick up the trash? From Oakridge Drive to the interstate, the ditch line is full of rocks and tree branches. After all, this is our gateway to the city. You only get one chance to make a first impression.

Jennifer Garner is not just a beautiful woman, she is also a beautiful person. She reflects the best of West Virginia.

Teachers sitting in the Senate gallery brings to memory the day when union construction workers sat there and witnessed our hateful Republican legislature destroy their good paying jobs. Aren’t good paying jobs what West Virginia needs? Mitch Carmichael and his cronies are spiteful union haters.

Why do Democrats think everything in life should be “free”? It will not work and isn’t sustainable. They prey on the weak-minded who don’t realize that nothing is truly free. Also, the lazy love these ideas. There is something to be said for earning one’s way in life instead of others funding your life.

I’ve long felt that for a bill to progress in the West Virginia Legislature, the content is not as important as the deal-making and who owes what allegiance to whom, particularly leadership of the party in power. The House Speaker’s threat to remove committee appointments of anyone who voted to terminate the special session is a perfect illustration.
