I don’t know where you got your misinformation, but AFT is telling the truth. Charter schools take funds from public schools, and most are for profit.

It is disgusting and pathetic that our president spent part of his time at the D-Day 75th anniversary commemoration in England tweeting about “psycho Bette Midler.” Unlike the president, I chose to remember our troops and their bravery ridding Europe of tyranny that day. And I also note that Bette Midler goes on USO tours for our troops.

As one who loves the outdoors, my deep concern is that all the changes in weather are a result of climate change, which is caused by a century of poisoning the upper atmosphere by burning fossil fuels. We must stop poisoning the only planet we have. I’m way more concerned about how my children and grandchildren and their offspring are going to be able to breathe than whether or not you can ride your motorcycle or put the top down. There is no Planet “B”!

I am all for women getting the health care they need. I support them having access to that care, birth control, and even abortions when their lives are in jeopardy. I do not and will never support abortion as a simple means of birth control. That aspect of abortion is completely wrong and immoral. Medical care is one thing. Abortion of convenience is another. Just FYI: my wife is against abortion in all circumstances.

When children misbehave, you don’t increase their allowance take them out to the movies, tell them they don’t have to do homework, and let them party all night. But the Legislature in WV rewards the teachers with a raise, votes in taxpayer funded charter schools and work performance is 49th out of 50 states. No wonder the rest of the states call us morons and with that education, our children will be morons.
