Well, West Virginia is a year older. Looks like some citizens celebrated by throwing their trash and cigarette butts out the window. Some also celebrated by stealing off their neighbors for their next fix. That’s West Virginia pride right there!

Stop indoctrinating our youth through so-called education. Homosexuality is not natural. Period. It defies common sense to even state that it is. If a person chooses to live that way that’s fine. But don’t push sexuality on young children. That should be discussed at home. Parents, take control and demand kids be allowed to be kids.

I wish the educators would spend as much time developing a curriculum that prepares students for life or higher education than they do protesting. That’s what makes charter schools so attractive. A much better curriculum and learning environment.

Reparations? Honestly? Start with the European slave traders. After that find the African tribe that sold their captive ancestors to the Europeans. After that? Get it from the Democratic party. The party of slavery and the KKK. Reality check. No one today owes anyone anything. That ship sailed long ago.

To the businessman who wants Stonewall Jackson removed from the Capitol grounds, it is a part of history. If it bothers you so much, don’t go by it.

Low income jobs at Walmart and fast food, add the mostly minimum jobs in tourism, and add the legislature killing the prevailing wage law and trying to make the state a right to work state and you have kids growing up in poverty with little hope of improving. This is the state that ALEC, the Cardinal institute, and the chamber of commerce have created. And now they have charters for the select few. Well done, Mitch. This is your legacy!

Justice came out and showed his true colors again. He would make a great switch hitter if the game was baseball. The game is not baseball. Justice originally said he would veto any education bill that allowed charter schools. Now he said he would pass the bill.

Is it just me or does anyone else think the wrapped Capitol looks like a DQ cone with a butterscotch twirl?

What could possibly go wrong with charter schools? No standards for teacher education or for student education. Can WV be 51st in educational achievement?
