Readers' Vent: May 17, 2019

According to figures, Medicare and Social Security are running out of money. Yet some of the Democrats keep saying they’ll allow illegal immigrants the right to collect those benefits. How can any sane person not see a problem here?

I don’t like Mark Sadd’s columns and almost never agree with his point of view. I was not moved to comment, however, until I read his attempt at humor. Sadd.

House Democrats and the biased mainstream media continually speak of the President as a “dictator.” I would have to say that Congressman Nadler, and his very slim Democrat House majority, easily could be viewed the same way.

Mayo Clinic, free parking. Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, free parking. Downtown Louisville hospital, free parking. CAMC, high priced parking.

There are no laws forcing men to do something with their bodies, why are the powerful trying to force their control over women? Those in control do not want any help available when women must give up their dreams of a better future caused by unplanned pregnancy.

Adults talk and socialize all the time when they eat. Even if they waste a little food, kids in school should be allowed to do the same. Meals are about the only time when a kid can establish social contacts, and find a peer group.

I fail to understand our local West Virginia Republicans allowing out of state know-it-alls like ALEC to come here and dictate what our laws should be. I hope our state wakes up and votes them out.
