The North-South All-Star softball games will be held at Buffalo High school on Thursday with skills competitions starting at 10:30 a.m. A series of three games will begin at 1 p.m. with the first two scheduled for seven innings and the third for five innings.
Since the event moved to three games in 2005, the South has won the series in all but three years, with the last series win for the North coming in 2010. Since then, the South has won 22 of 24 games including the last 14, dating back to a game-one loss in 2014.
Skills competitions include a home run derby, fastest throw both overhand and underhand, 20- and 60-yard sprints, accuracy throw and a bunting contest.
Awards will also be given to first-team and second-team All-State selections in attendance from all classes.
