All 31 of the West Virginia University men’s basketball team’s regular-season games will be televised, including 26 on national television, the university announced Thursday.
The five games that won’t be broadcast on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU/ESPN News or the CBS Sports Network will be broadcast on AT&T SportsNet, along with the Mountaineers’ Nov. 3 charity exhibition game with Penn State. Not all game times and networks have been finalized.
Among notable broadcasts are the season opener versus Buffalo at 9 p.m. Nov. 9 on ESPNU, the Jimmy V Classic game versus Florida in New York City at 9 p.m. Dec. 4 on ESPN and the home game versus Pitt at noon Dec. 8 on ESPN2.
WVU WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: The Mountaineers were picked to finish third in the Big 12 on Thursday in a poll of the league’s head coaches.Baylor, with eight first-place votes, was picked to win the conference, with Texas, getting two first-place votes, picked to finish second.
West Virginia went 25-12 last season and was ranked as high as No. 9 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll.
