The West Virginia Power’s attempt to win consecutive games for the first time in June was foiled Saturday night as the Greenville Drive capitalized on four wild pitches by Power starter Josias De Los Santos and tagged him for six earned runs in an 8-2 win at Appalachian Power Park.

Kole Cottam and Grant Williams each had a pair of doubles for the Drive (27-25), which won its second game of the four-game series. The final game of the set is scheduled to start at 2:05 p.m. Sunday.

Cottom finished with two RBIs for Greenville, while right fielder Tyler Esplin drove in a pair of runs with a double in the top of the fifth that gave the Drive a 4-2 lead.

Charlie McConnell went 2 for 3 for West Virginia (30-32). Onil Pena and Bobby Honeyman both doubled.

Right-hander Chris Machamer got the win for Greenville, improving to 2-2 on the season by throwing five innings and giving up a pair of earned runs while striking out three.

De Los Santos dropped to 0-4 on the year.
