Jarred Kelenic launched his fourth home run in as many games and the West Virginia Power pitching staff combined to throw its fifth shutout win of the season as it blanked the Lakewood BlueClaws 2-0 Tuesday evening at FirstEnergy Park in Lakewood, New Jersey.

Kelenic extended his hitting streak to a Class A-best 16 games with his sixth home run of the season in the top of the first inning. The Power drew four straight walks off Lakewood starter James McArthur to tack on another run in the inning and give West Virginia an early 2-0 lead.

Power starter Damon Casetta-Stubbs tossed five shutout innings, allowing five hits while striking out three against one walk. Reliever Sal Biasi gave up just one hit and struck out two, and Dayeison Arias and Nolan Hoffman closed out the eighth and ninth innings, respectively, to complete the shutout. The Power bullpen retired the last 12 batters it faced after Biasi yielded a leadoff single in the sixth.

West Virginia and Lakewood continue their series Wednesday night at FirstEnergy Park, with first pitch set for 6:35 p.m. Left-hander Steven Moyers (2-1, 4.43 ERA) takes the hill for the Power, while the BlueClaws counter with lefty Ethan Lindow (1-1, 3.66 ERA).
