The West Virginia Power managed just five hits in a 10-0 loss to the Lakewood BlueClaws Thursday evening at FirstEnergy Park in Lakewood, New Jersey.

Josias De Los Santos took the loss in his debut for the Power (17-8), allowing three runs on five hits and striking out two against two walks in four innings.

The BlueClaws used a pair of RBI ground outs in the bottom of the first and a fielder’s choice ground out in the second to take a 3-0 lead.

De Los Santos settled down to toss two scoreless frames in the third and and fourth before Ben Onyshko came in for relief in the fifth.

Lakewood jumped on Onyshko, sending 10 batters to the plate in the fifth to score five runs on three hits and a Power error to take an 8-0 lead.

The BlueClaws scratched across two more runs in the sixth to cap the scoring.

Tyler McKay picked up the win for Lakewood, yielding just two hits and striking out three in five shutout innings.

The Power’s Jarred Kelenic extended his hitting streak to a minor league-best 18 games with a double to right-center in the top of the ninth.

West Virginia continues its road trip in Greensboro, North Carolina, Friday night as it starts a four-game series against the Grasshoppers at 7 p.m. The Power will send Clay Chandler (3-0, 0.31 ERA) to the mound, while Greensboro will counter with right-hander Osvaldo Bido (4-0, 0.91).
