Former West Virginia University men’s basketball player Sagaba Konate will be a part of the Toronto Raptors’ NBA Summer League team when play begins Saturday. Konate signed with the team as an undrafted free agent shortly after the NBA draft. WVU tweeted out its congratulations Monday afternoon.

In an injury-shortened 2018-19, Konate averaged 13.6 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.8 blocks per game while becoming the Mountaineers’ career leader in blocked shots. He played just eight games last season and decided to leave school early for the professional ranks.
