Veggie beds

Gerry Reagan stands next to her raised vegetable garden beds at her South Charleston residence. She says this is her first attempt at gardening in raised beds. Her garden includes tomatoes, peppers, strawberries, zucchinis, green onions and spices (sage, rosemary, basil and parsley). Her brother, Leon Harrison of Charleston’s West Side, built the beds and topped them off with pergolas. He also helped inspire her in the venture, and made the sign “Nonnie’s Garden,” referring to a nickname Reagan’s grandchildren bestowed on her.
