Jeep Wranglers offer driving enthusiasts everything they could ask for: an iconic design, off-road adventure, comfort, handling and the peace of mind that four-wheel-drive traction can bring.
And with warmer weather approaching, these Swiss Army knife vehicles are ready for top-down driving.
Walker Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, which is just off the Hurricane exit of Interstate 64, has an abundance of new, 2020 Jeep Wranglers in stock, including one with a new Eco-Diesel engine.
“It’s that time of year,” said General Manager Ryan Walker, referring to Wrangler weather. “We’ve got well over 50 of them in stock, and there are some new things out.”
Additionally, Walker Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is offering special “supplier pricing” on all 2020 Jeep Wranglers. The special pricing is noteworthy because “typically, there’s not a lot of discounts on Wranglers throughout the year,” Walker said.
Jeep Wranglers for 2020 are available in several different packages, each having a subset of varying options. The Wrangler packages include the Sport Package, the Sahara and the Rubicon.
“There’s probably close to 10 different models you can get in a Wrangler, in both two-door and four-door,” Walker said.
For warm-weather driving, Wranglers come with soft tops, removable hardtops and a newer option called “My Sky.” With the My Sky option, “you can push a button, and essentially the whole top is a hardtop with a convertible top in the center, that slides back.”
Jeep Wranglers have remained popular over the years because of their iconic design.
“When you say ‘Jeep,’ that’s what everybody thinks of,” he said.
Jeep Wranglers remain one of Walker Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram’s best sellers because they appeal to a broad range of customers.
“Everybody -- young, old, in between. A bunch of people come in and say it’s their dream vehicle. To me, it’s the most versatile vehicle on the road. It’s fun in the summer, and it gets the job done in the winter.”
Wranglers can be customized with lift kits and other options. At Walker Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, Wranglers can be equipped with Mopar-brand lift kits. Using Mopar lift kits means the warranties remain in effect.
“The vehicle stays under warranty with that lift kit, since it is a Mopar lift,” Walker said.
Jeep Wranglers feature four-wheel-drive controlled by the driver. “You manually put it in (four-wheel-drive), and it’s nice, because they’re set up so you can flat-tow them behind RVs and things of that nature. When you get to where you’re going, you don’t have to drive your RV everywhere, you can drive your Wrangler.”
Jeep Wranglers for 2020 are available with four different engine options: a 6-cylinder (two versions), a 4-cylinder turbo and a just released 3-liter Eco-Diesel engine.
“It’s the same diesel they use on the Ram truck,” said Sales Manager Robert Skonberg.
The Eco-Diesel Wrangler is so new that Walker Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is one of the few dealers to have one. “We have the only Eco-Diesel Wrangler within a 200-air-mile radius of here,” Walker said. “They just came out with it and we got the first one in the state. It’s rated as high as 29 miles per gallon.”
Jeep Wranglers ride much smoother than in decades past, thanks to a longer wheelbase introduced in 2008.
“It’s a much smoother ride.”
Walker Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is a full-service dealership and is the sister dealership to Walker Chevrolet, which is off the Nitro exit of I-64.
